Perfectly Imperfect
I am loving my latest book purchase illustrated by Virginia Johnson, The Perfectly Imperfect Home by Deborah Needleman. The illustrations are SO beautiful and detailed and such a refreshing way to capture home interiors instead of using photographs. Virginia Johnson was introduced to me a few years ago when a friend brought me to her quaint shop in Toronto and I have quickly become a huge fan of her fabrics, dresses and shawls.

What’s Cooking TV Shoot
Now, that was fun! Yesterday I awoke at the crack of dawn to head down to Silk Road, my favourite shop in Victoria to do a TV shoot for What’s Cooking TV. The crew flew in from Toronto and Quebec to interview me on the concept of furoshiki and to demonstrate some of the wrapping techniques. Richard, the show’s host, was great – with his sense of humour and relaxed demeanor. Loved getting my makeup done – I could get used to that. Here are a few photos from the shoot. The segment will air on City TV on December 3rd and December 24th.
Covet Garden
Thank you to the ladies at Covet Garden, a beautiful online home décor magazine, for featuring Furochic!
Marigold Palace
India has long been an inspiration in my art. The brilliant colours and sparkly embellishments in their textiles, the domed palaces and the exotic painted elephants capture my imagination.
Very Good News

I just love the graphics for the opening credits of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. This show is brilliant and features Mma Ramotswe who uses her common sense and charm to solve her mysteries while always taking the time to stop, sit and enjoy a cup of bush tea!
